(Indication of interest requested by December 17, 2010)
Please find attached information re : Primary Ethics which has gone to primary school principals this week.
They were requested by the DET to send letters about Primary Ethics ONLY to the parents of kids who ‘opt out’ about
Yet we know many of our supporter’s children currently do SRE, but they would prefer them to do Ethics Classes.
It is very important to note that just because your child did SRE this year does not means they cannot do Ethics Classes if they are available at your school next year.
You simply need to ‘opt out’ of SRE and ‘opt in’ to Primary Ethics.
1/. If you want your year 5 or 6 child to do Primary Ethics Classes next year please register online at primaryethics.com.au
2/. If you want to be a volunteer Primary Ethics teacher and have not yet registered please visit primaryethics.com.au
3/. Please forward this email to any year 5/6 parents in 2011 who you know who may be interested in their kids doing Ethics Classes.
4/. Talk to your principal and ensure this information has been sent to all ‘opt out’ kids parents.

Who are we?
parents4ethics is a group of parents who share a common view that children not attending Special Religious Education (SRE) classes should be provided with an alternative. parents4ethics demand an end to discrimination in the public education system, where children who opt out of SRE classes are not allowed education or instruction on ethics, morals, values, or religions.
